I have urinary leakage/incontinence, could your program help with this?
Firstly, it is always recommended to visit your urologist and rule out any major obstructions/structural issues with your body. If you have ruled out these possibilities, and you are still dealing with urinary incontinences/leakage, then we need to look at the health of your pelvic floor.
Your pelvic floor muscles allow you to hold in your urine and also (with natural muscle tone, that you don't have to think about), and they help you to relax and actually release the urine, while urinating. If you are experiencing leakage, you might have a weak pelvic floor.
Relaxing your nervous system, improving flexibility in your pelvic floor, and increasing strength/muscle tone/muscle coordination is important. Our fully guided 12 week Overcome Pelvic Pain program includes movement routines that help you do this; along with meditations/breathwork to relax the nervous system, and important nutrition guidelines to follow.
What if I have a tight pelvic floor/tension?
Tension can create dysfunction in your muscles and lead to urinary challenges. The Overcome Pelvic Pain program helps by relaxing/releasing tension, and then rebuilding your pelvic floor muscles.
A pelvic floor physical therapist can help you diagnose if you have a tight pelvic floor. At home, you can also place your attention on your pelvic floor muscles, exhale, and drop the muscles and if they were tight, you could be dealing with tension.
